Fiction, non-fiction and poetry from Mike Soulliere, a Michigan Upper Peninsula resident. This is the first of a planned series of short-stories and poems that focus on life in the U.P.; family issues, religion and reflection, nature and relationships. The literature is simple and easy to read. The stories and poems are thoughtful and reflective of the basic beauty of nature and the love of God and family.

A collection of three short stories about a haunted camp, a haunted church and a haunted school. Each story stands alone, but some of the characters continue into the next story. These stories were written by myself and my granddaughter that was 8-10 years old during the writing of the stories. We hope that you enjoy reading these stories as much as we enjoyed writing them.

When going on a trip, there are many factors, including where to go, where to stay, and how long the trip will be. Everyone always says, 'have a safe trip', but what if this time it wasn't? For Malcolm and his longtime friends who just wanted to get away for a week, strange things start happening. Each day they are at this mysterious town, one of his friends seem to go missing, only to be taken to a hospital of an unknown location. As they tried to find out what happened to their friends, the townspeople refused to answer any of their questions. The only thing the townspeople seemed to talk about was this annual festival. No details were given about the festival until it was too late.

It was a Tuesday in late May when the call went out for a responding officer to investigate the discovery of long-buried bones in the small community of Edgemont, Ohio. Deputy Sheriff Cliff Henry's uneventful career as a rural county deputy was about to change as he attempts to solve an old mystery. Was it an accident or murder? The investigation will uncover sins of the past and explain why millionaire Harvey Harrison's life has begun to unravel.
